The Wisdom Vehicle: Paññā Pāramitā

The fourth of these vehicles that cross the flood of the world is wisdom – paññā. We also translate paññā as discernment or clarity. It is an innate faculty: we all have it. In the suttas, it is said ‘wisdom and consciousness are conjoined.’(Middle Length Discourses 43.4-5, trans. Bhikkhu Bodhi, pub. Wisdom, Boston 1995)
